Power of the Purse ™
Understanding money doesn’t start and end with being rich. Understanding money gives you the potential for financial independence and the freedom of choice.
As a woman, you are not alone as you struggle with being the perfect wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, and all the other traditional roles that our cultures assign to us. The pressure can feel overwhelming, especially when you add in the demands of a career. You may even choose to pass on dealing with money issues altogether.
That is, until you’re forced to deal with your money issues—which is never the ideal time to learn.
In my podcast, my guests and I explore stories of women and how they’ve handled the demands of finances, family, and careers. We talk about falling short of perfection, the lessons we’ve learned, achieving financial security, and silencing our self-criticism.
I want my listeners to feel empowered to take control of their financial destinies, either by themselves or by enlisting the help of someone they trust with their finances.
Personal finance is NOT the exclusive domain of men; women were not born with any more or less ignorance about money. Personal finance does NOT have to be a foreign language.
Once you’re armed with some basic knowledge about money, you can gain independence and freedom of choice. Freedom to leave a bad marriage, freedom to ask for a raise without the fear of losing your job, freedom to make choices after the death of a spouse and not be reliant on your children, confidence to retire with a plan that allows you to have a life you love. The choice is yours.
